copyright and comments

The written content on this blog is my own—however worthless or worthy it may be, it is copyrighted in my name. So I'd appreciate it if you'd follow a few guidelines in using content from this blog:
  • Without my permission: you may link to this blog or any post from this blog; you may quote fewer than 250 words from any post on your website as long as you provide a link back to my original post; and you may print any post for non-commercial use (e.g. class handout, church newsletter) as long as you include the following notice: "© [post year] Michael W. Pahl. Originally published at www.rustlingsinthegrass.blogspot.com."
  • You must have my express written permission to publish any post from this blog in its entirety on any website; or to use any content from this blog for commercial purposes.
And on comments, a few comments:

  • Feel free to make comments. Or not. It's really up to you.
  • Sign your comments. I'd prefer your real name, but if you don't have one then at least use a really cool pseudonym. Like Fabrizio the Wunderkind. Or Queen Penelope XXIV. Or Fred.
  • Don't be offended if I don't make comments. It's not you, it's something else. Probably lack of time. Either that or a debilitating bout of self-doubt.
  • Keep things civil. Coercive, unjust, oppressive power of any kind is not cool, so no violence couched in abusive speech. Comments that violate this code of civility will be violently oppressed by being deleted.
One further note: I try my best to attribute sources when necessary for the material and the images used on this blog. These are generally attributed by click-through links on each image or author's name. If you come across a photo that should be attributed but is not, or a bit of prose that is unattibuted or not cited properly, please contact me and I'll make the corrections needed.
